Linkwood plans to develop its own processing and industrialization facilities in order to ensure optimal added value from the available timber supply with a flexible approach that will satisfy the growing timber markets for tropical hardwood species in a environmentally, quantitatively, and qualitatively sustainable way.
Linkwood focuses on the development of products which bring the highest yields and added value, from the given raw material, while being at the same time compatible with the international market prices. The production facilities comprise in its initial setup the following elements:
A saws lines for rough squaring and blocking logs to produce rough saw timber
A moulder for surfacing, jointing and planing sawn timber to specified widths and thicknesses while profiling at the same time.
A drying kilns, as drying is necessary for most of the added value products made from Teak timber.
